Hale & Nail Oraman Scholarship Applications Are Now Open

The Development Foundation of Türkiye (DFT) has opened applications for the Hale & Nail Oraman Scholarship, which aims to support master’s students preparing their theses in the field of rural development.

For the 2026–2027 academic year, scholarship recipients will receive a non-repayable monthly stipend of TRY 11,000 for nine months.

Applicants must be master’s students whose thesis focuses on rural development, whose thesis proposal has been approved by the relevant graduate institute, and who meet the other application requirements.

For the 2026–2027 period, thesis topics may cover thematic areas such as local development and social entrepreneurship, rural development and digital transformation, diversification of rural income sources, rural development and tourism alternatives, climate change and rural life, rural organization models, youth participation, migration, farmer education, and local governments.
