Turkeys Southeastern Anatolia Region Refugee and Local Community Protection, Social Integration, and Livelihoods Access Improvement.
This project, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of Germany and implemented in collaboration with Welthungerhilfe (WHH), aims to improve access to protection, social integration, and livelihoods for disadvantaged refugees and local communities in Mardin, Diyarbakır, and Batman provinces.
Services provided within the scope of the project:
- Case management tailored to the needs of vulnerable refugee and local community members
- Individual and group psychosocial support tailored to needs
- Structured pre-school workshops
- Grant support for social integration projects targeting local organizations, legal entities of communities, and cooperatives
- Social integration activities for women cooperatives
- Establishment of a natural farming education and application center
- Awareness workshops on natural and climate-resilient agriculture topics
- Natural farming education for agricultural workers, small-scale farmers, and youth (Beekeeping, grafting, pruning, compost production, viticulture, vegetable/fruit cultivation, greenhouse farming, seedling production, drought-resistant farming, cereal cultivation, medicinal aromatic and ornamental plant cultivation, natural interventions against plant diseases and pests, water retention techniques, irrigation systems, etc.)
- Technical and financial support for natural farming initiatives and small-scale farmers
